Started by my Great Grandfather Joseph Hellett in the 1850’s in East Street, Kimbolton. Henry John Hellett (my Grandfather) ran the business from 1905 to 1963, moving to our current premises on London Road, Kimbolton in 1910.
In the early 60’s the abattoir was built along with several extensions to the butchery building, Henry was succeeded by Sidney Hellett (my Uncle) from 1963 through to 1993.
Matthew Hellett (that’s me) took the reins of the business in August 1993 and I’m proud to have maintained a thriving rural, family butchery business to this day.
